Steven would begin feeling a building anxiety when the rock did not respond to his magnet, however. He had almost been certain that he was hanging onto a meteor. But when it was revealed that this rock had probably not fallen from the sky, the Whittens began to almost panic. What had they brought into their homes, and what would it take to find out the truth? They felt like they had bitten off more than they could chew between them.
