If it wasn’t a natural occurrence and it wasn’t an animal, then there is only one other explanation. Humans. The main issue was why someone would go all the way out to the middle of the woods and leave a young dog there by themselves. And could it possibly have been a monkey? Jonathan had a lot of questions, but he didn’t know the answers to any of them. However, he did know that one thing needed to be done.

He made a makeshift container for the little animal out of the cover of his travel bag, and then he placed the puppy inside of it with great care. Even though he had a long way to go before he would get to his vehicle, at least the creature wouldn’t have to worry about being attacked by any of the dangerous creatures that could be in the area for the time being.
