Say good-bye to this cruel pun. The Sea Ya, huh? How long did it take you to come up with that one? How many crumpled sheets of lined yellow paper fill the owner’s garbage can? Did he suddenly wake up in the middle of the night, shouting Eureka? In any case, we’re sure he’s relieved to have that burden lifted. We only hope no one in the family had to ask for clarification, because this is one of the lowest branches of the funny tree. What would be more amusing is if this boat moves slowly and people say “see ya” to it as they pass.

Many boat owners have struggled to come up with an appropriate name for their new vessel. It has to be smart, nautical, and original. This is where we obtained the moniker Knot Shore, which also helps us understand the owner’s difficulty in christening his marina extension. It’s a good name, it sparks conversation, and it’s memorable. It’s also an excellent method to start a “Who’s on First” running gag, albeit hopefully not too frequently, otherwise the owner may lose friends.
