As the months progressed into years, Maureen found herself in a position where she was confused of what to do. The suggestion that Jermaine was a runaway was impolite and rude on the part of the cops. In their relationship as mother and son, they were on very good terms, and Maureen was aware that Jack loved her deeply. There would be no use in him attempting to flee from his home.

With that being said, Maureen had a problem. A number of months before to his disappearance, Jermaine had communicated his desire to acquire additional information regarding his father. Is it possible that Jermaine discovered his father without informing his mother, and then he fled with him? Despite the fact that Maureen could not deny that it had a tremendous hold on her, there was no way that she could let go of it so quickly. But she had no idea that her kid was keeping a secret from her. She was completely unaware of it.
