Too Late
The news broke Maureen’s heart. She was wishing that Jermaine had informed her about the possibility of meeting up with Lionel. The only thing she would have done is backed him; she would not have been furious. But it was too late at this point. After Jermaine had been missing for a total of thirty-one years, Maureen was on the verge of finally coming to terms with the fact that he was no longer there physically. Then, however, Lionel made the offer to assist her.

In spite of the fact that Lionel’s offer to assist was unanticipated, Maureen noticed a gleam of hope in his eyes. Additionally, he disclosed that he had maintained a journal throughout those years, in which he documented his sporadic encounters with Jermaine. He was under the impression that these texts may provide some sort of hint or insight regarding the whereabouts of Jermaine. They went on a voyage through Lionel’s old diaries with a revitalized feeling of purpose in their hearts.
