The virus that had infected the super glider was extremely familiar to the veterinarian, who had been doing a study on it for the previous few weeks prior to the animal becoming ill. It was only just widely reported in the area, and while raccoons had the most risk of catching it, other animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and so on were also vulnerable to contracting it.
