David Duchovny Has a Master’s Degree From Yale

Duchovny graduated with a BA in English Literature from Princeton University and went on to earn a Master’s from Yale. Initially aspiring to be a screenwriter, he viewed acting as part of his research. “I thought, ‘Well, if I’m going to write things that actors will perform, it’s probably helpful for me to understand what that’s like.” Little did he know that he would eventually leave his Ph.D. behind to pursue acting full-time.
