Treasured People
There are many people in this wild and wonderful world of ours who love nothing more than a good adventure. Like Diane and Pat Farla, who like the previously mentioned other British couple, were living in a beautiful Victorian home. When the Farlas had polished a bottle of wine one evening, they decided that it was time to finally investigate the eerie grate that they had found in their basement. They headed down like giggling children.
Holy Hideaway
With some tipsy effort, the couple managed to remove the grate and saw that there was a small tunnel that would barely fit children. Enthused by their find, Pat requested that his nephew and his pals enter the crawlway and tell them what lay beyond. It turned out to lead to a cellar, which was oddly chapel-shaped. The Farlas then contacted a historian, who dated the hidden chamber to the 1700s. It was most likely a haven for Catholics during the religious persecutions of the time.
